The Black Heritage Textile Group

The Black Heritage Textile Group is focused on promoting eco-friendly

materials and production methods, reducing waste, and minimizing our carbon

footprint. They aim to create timeless pieces that won’t end up in landfills while

supporting fair labor practices, empowering communities, and promoting

sustainable fashion. The Black Heritage Textile Group is proud to partner with

the African Fashion Foundation on this industry visit, with a vision of setting up

West Africa's first circular textiles factory, further supporting sustainable fashion

practices in the region.


COVID-19 Stimulus Fund for Women Entrepreneurs

In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Annan

launched a stimulus fund aimed at supporting female-led businesses in Ghana.

The fund provided vital financial support to SMEs across various sectors,

including agribusiness, fashion, healthcare, and waste management, helping

them recover and grow after the pandemic’s economic disruptions. This

initiative was part of her ongoing commitment to empowering women
