AFRICAN FASHION FOUNDATION
African Fashion Foundation is a non-governmental organisation empowering fashion designers and creative professionals from Africa and its diaspora to be able to compete effectively in the global sector. A charitable fund, it creates partnerships with established global businesses to supply professional and educational developmental opportunities in support of the progression of the African creative economy.

Roberta serves on the advisory board of ForAfrika USA, supporting the organization’s mission to unlock Africa’s abundant potential. In this role, she contributes her expertise in leadership, development, and impact-driven strategy to help shape sustainable solutions for the continent. Her involvement reflects a deep commitment to empowering African communities and driving long-term transformation.
UNEP
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the global authority on the green agenda and promotes sustainable development while being an authoritative advocate for the global environment. Roberta is a Global Goodwill Ambassador for the programme and speaks in its support on the many platforms to which she is invited.

Jury Panel (2021–2023)
Roberta served on the CNMI (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana) judging panel, contributing her expertise to one of the world’s most respected fashion institutions. She supported the evaluation of groundbreaking initiatives that reflect CNMI’s mission of sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation, while championing diverse voices and emerging talent on the global stage.
AFRICA INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARDS (AIDA)
Roberta is a distinguished jury member for the Africa International Design Awards (AIDA), a new global platform launched to celebrate African creativity across spatial, product, communication, and fashion design. As part of the inaugural jury, she contributes her voice and expertise to recognizing innovative design projects rooted in African culture and committed to addressing the continent’s social, economic, and environmental challenges.

Steering Committee Member (2019)
Roberta Annan was appointed by the European Commission in 2019 to serve on a high-level steering committee for the International Colloquium on Culture & Creativity. In partnership with EEAS, EUNIC, and UNESCO, she helped shape discussions on cultural policy, innovative finance, and inclusive development during the Brussels event
